Reconstruction of Sand Hill Road
Reconstruction of Sand Hill Road

The Town is planning on reconstructing Sand Hill Road from Sullivan
Avenue to Ellington Road because the pavement and the underlying base
material have deteriorated to the point where the road needs to be
reconstructed. The Town has hired Milone and MacBroom Inc. to develop
preliminary plans for the proposed reconstruction. These plans also show
other improvements that are proposed for this road such as bike lanes,
new sidewalks, traffic calming elements, drainage system upgrades and
geometric improvements near Sullivan Avenue.

A public information meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday,
November 18, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Town Council Chambers at the
Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Avenue. Anyone is invited to attend this meeting
to review the plans and provide input if so desire. The Town staff will be
available to answer any questions or address any concerns.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to call the Engineering
Division at 644-2511, extension 244.
